Hey folks!

Thought I might as well put one of these up again even though the whole blogging makes me feel dirty

About me:
I'm a 19-year-old UF student who is starting a major in Journalism (photojournalism track). Got a Canon EOS 40D for Christmas (which is a massive step up from the 300D in case anyone was wondering). I'm back into photography more than ever and am trying to improve the quality of my shots. A few pieces of equipment I would love to be able to buy include the EF-S 10-22mm, EF 70-200mm f/2.8, a 1.4x teleconverter, and neutral density filters. Unfortunately I don't currently have a job so I need to find a way to start scraping together some moneys. Being able to do that through my photography would be all kinds of awesome, so I'll be looking into a few avenues of that sort. Suggestions welcome. (Except microstock )

I've been trying to visualize a decent self-portrait, but the handful of things I come up with are too complicated or difficult to pull off in my spare time. I might give in and do the cliche black and white photographer portrait eventually

So there's a journal to munch on. I might write another someday... but my track record isn't very good for that.
